Founder & Artistic Director
Johnny launched 0596club in 2022 with a clear vision: to create vibrant comedy nights that bring together emerging talent and established acts in a genuinely supportive, energetic atmosphere. Since launch, the club has built a reputation for hosting comedy nights in carefully selected venues across London, creating welcoming, comedy-led spaces for both audiences and performers.
0596club has welcomed over 300 comedians and expanded across venues in East, North, West and Central London — with ambitions to continue growing into new spaces and communities.
Before launching the club, Johnny was selected for a six-month comedy scouting placement at Soho Theatre, where he developed a strong eye for comedic talent while gaining valuable insight into the live comedy industry. He later became involved with the prestigious NATYS Awards, helping review over 200 comedy submissions before going on to host and organise the competition.
Alongside building 0596club, Johnny has progressed rapidly as a stand-up comedian, performing across the UK and Ireland, including appearances at the Brighton Fringe Festival and the Dublin International Comedy Showcase. He has also performed regular spots at established comedy nights including Boxpark Comedy, Happy Mondays and Collywobblers.
Johnny has written and performed multiple solo comedy shows, including his debut hour Manage Moi, a one-hour comedy special at Angel Comedy Club and a crowd work special developed during his first six months in stand-up. He has since performed in multiple cities across the UK and Ireland, including Bath, Bristol, Oxford, Cambridge, Norwich, Brighton and Dublin.
As founder, Johnny personally curates line-ups, hosts events and oversees the creative direction of the club.

Brilliant night of stand-up in an intimate comedy club setting.
Finn Feeny: is a comedian, former soldier, and living demonstration that confidence is not a form of intelligence. Armed with endless self-belief and remarkably little evidence to support it, he has built a reputation for hilarious storytelling, chaotic life experiences, and finding himself in situations most sensible people would avoid.
Kyra Carleton: is a comedian and writer from Montreal, now based in London, known for her candid storytelling and sharp wordplay. She has performed across Canada and internationally in New York City, Paris, and the UK. In 2023, she was featured in Just For Laughs’ Discovery Series and has since performed at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and Toronto.
